Joss Stone

Joss Stone was born in Dover, Kent, and spent her teenage years in Ashill, Devon. She is the third of four children born to Richard and Wendy Stoker. She made her first public appearance at the Uffculme Comprehensive School—which she attended—in Uffculme, Devon, with a cover of Jackie Wilson's 1957 "Reet Petite". Because of her dyslexia, Stone left school at age sixteen with just three GCSE qualifications. "It wasn't that I was stupid. I'm just a little bit dyslexic and I wasn't very academic. I'm more artistic", she says.

John Mayer

John Clayton Mayer (born October 16, 1977) is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter. Originally from Connecticut, he briefly attended Berklee College of Music, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998, where he refined his skills and gained a following. His first two studio albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. In 2003, he won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy for "Your Body Is a Wonderland".

Born Geethali Norah Jones Shankar in Brooklyn, New York, she changed her name officially to Norah Jones at the age of 16. The daughter of the sitar maestro Ravi Shankar and Sue Jones, she spent her childhood with her mother, who moved to the Grapevine, Texas, when Jones was four.

She attended Colleyville Middle School, followed by a short period at Grapevine High School before transferring to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas.

James Morrison (born James Morrison Catchpole on 13 August 1984) is an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in Rugby, Warwickshire, England.

In 2006, he debuted with the single "You Give Me Something" which became a huge hit around Europe, Australia, and Japan. His debut album, Undiscovered, went straight to number one in the UK and has sold more than two million copies worldwide.

Corinne Bailey Rae Biography

Corinne Bailey Rae

Corinne Bailey Rae was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, she is of mixed race origin and she is the eldest of three daughters. She used to be racially abused on a regular basis while growing up, even though her verbal attackers mistakenly thought she was of Iraqi origin. She says about the situation, "My sisters and I were different and people used to say, 'Ah, aren't they cute, the little chocolate children', and 'look at their hair'".
